What is Xaosphora?
Xaosphora is an ongoing fiction rework project that was launched in 2020 and has been in the works since 2018. The aim of the Xaosphora project is to bring new ideas to the table using preexisting content in the hopes to polish it up, expand upon it, or offer alternate takes. Xaosphora focuses on all types of fictional worlds and stories from movie series, to game series, to even book series. The end goal of the project is to have several series completely rewritten from the ground up, offering new perspectives on worlds and creating something of an alternate reality history in the world
of creative works. With so much to research, study and re-create, the XS Project is quite a demanding journey. However, it is quite a fun one!

I - Copyright and the Law
Copyright is a big concern when it comes to the Xaosphora Project as a whole, since its whole focus is about reworking and re-imagining already existing works. If any company or individual who owns the copyright to any of the works displayed on this website sees their content used in a way that violates copyright law, they have the right to issue a take down request which the project will happily abide by. Though this isn't expected to happen often (or to happen ever) as much of XS is simply remixing or reusing existing content in a manner that falls under fair use law. The ideas, structure and other transformative pieces of work that XS creates, may be protected in court. But that is ultimately up to the court to decide and in no way can we predict what might pass as fair use and what might not.

II - Use of Content and Sharing
The concepts that XS introduces in relation to the series that it aims to rework are often times trans-formative while retaining only a handful of concepts from source material. This means that not everything that is created for XS is free to be used wherever without any credit given. Using original content created for the XS Project such as original sketches, logos, layouts, etc. in any work or other media outside of content that is associated with the XS Project means that it must be properly tagged and credited. You are free to use content from the XS Project that is not unique in nature (e.g. Super Mario Bros. Level 1-1). You are free to use content from the project as long as proper attribution and credits are provided. Everything that falls under the XS Project is anything that is visible under the XS website, web presences, and its wider branding landscape.

III - Similarities and Differences
Some pieces of the XS Project might seem less original than others. One might debate that certain aspects of the XS Project cannot be owned or regulated by the XS team and that is entirely true. However there are subtle differences to look out for and it is crucial to understand where the team stands on these matters. For example lets take the Green Hill Zone from Sonic the Hedgehog. The Green Hill Zone in of itself is owned by SEGA, Sonic Team, and those who hold the rights to the original concept and design. However the Green Hill Zone in the context of Sonic XS is is its own unique entity, even if it is derivative. There are scenarios, landmarks, and other ideas that distinguish the vanilla Green Hill Zone from the XS version of location. This is important to note when it comes to attributions.

IV - Fake Data and Fictional History
Not everything included within XS Projects is accurate information regarding companies, how materials were released, etc. The XS Project has elements of fictional history spread through out it and not everything displayed within a project might be historically accurate. For instance the wiki page for a game idea that never officially existed might write in that it was hypothetically created by the parent company, even if it wasn't in real life. Entering this website, it is understood that the readers of XS will no cite, quote, or try to use any parts of XS as valid research material or arguing points. While XS does a lot of research itself, and tries to rewrite fictional works in some relation to the source material, that does not mean that fictional data, that is added for theme and effect, is accurate or real.
